Unlike ordinary styrene cutters, which have a nichrome wire stretched over a thread saw-type bow, this cutter employs a unique cantilever (single-point support) structure called the heat needle.
It is easy to drill holes in the center of large boards that would otherwise be restricted by the depth of the bow-shaped arm.
By replacing the straight needle with a U- or L-shaped needle, non-penetrating operations such as grinding and digging can also be performed.

Unique cantilever (single point support) structure of the cutter section
The most distinctive feature of the HEAT CUTTER is the cantilever (single-point support) structure of the cutter section. The cutter part, called "heat needle," is made of thin stainless steel and reaches cutting temperature in about 2 seconds when the switch in the holder is pressed, allowing the user to work as naturally as if drawing with a pen.
The standard-length hight needles have an effective length of 70mm for the cutter section that can be cut, and three types of set accessories are available: type-S (straight), U-shape, and L-shape.

Heat needles with single-point support structure and high degree of freedom
Unlike the general styrene cutters with a nichrome wire stretched across the bow of a thread saw, the depth of the bow-shaped arm does not limit the cutting range, so the target material can be cut freely, even from the middle of a large board, as if drawing a line with a pen touch from any desired location.

Standard accessory "U-type" and "L-type" hight needles enable a wide variety of processing.
The cantilever structure not only cuts, but also allows for non-penetrating machining, which was previously difficult. For example, blocks can be carved from three sides to easily create buffers to protect corners.
In addition to the "straight" needle, the standard "U" and "L" type heating needles included in enable grooving and shaving of the material, which are impossible with a bow-shaped styrene cutter, and thus enable a variety of expressions, such as a concave center on the cut lettering.

The power pack has an infinitely variable temperature control knob.
The cutting speed can be controlled according to the material and processing method, for example, at a lower temperature for fine processing and at a higher temperature for hard, hard-to-melt XPS.
