One old cherry tree that we don't even know when it was planted.
Every year, as spring comes, it blooms full and strong.
In a small shrine on the outskirts of Kyoto, this cherry tree is rooted deep in the soil, even on a slope that is not very favourable to it, and still shows no signs of needing a support.
The dignified appearance of the tree, which has come to be known as the Eternal Cherry Blossom, continues to give courage and hope to those who visit the shrine.
