Gentleman Asaki, pre-painted, 1/35 scale

Work size (including diorama base): W50 x D50 x H70mm
Award: 40th Doll Modification Contest Honorable Mention

Information edit: Sakatsu Gallery

During the Second World War, 350,000 Soviet naval infantrymen fought on land.
A diorama of these wounded Soviet soldiers, glaring ahead.

This is a very small diorama, the base is only 5cm square.
The figures are dressed very simply in hats, white shirts and trousers, with only the ground in front of them. The size of the figure is minimal, and the elements included are also minimal for a scenic model.
His muscular body and red starred hat give away who he is, but it is the expression on his face that catches the eye. His face, biting the cloth from his hat and scowling, tells us something different than that he is enduring the pain of a wound on his arm.

Tamiya's doll modification contest is a fun and competitive way to modify a 1/35 plastic doll.
It was created to be entered into that memorable 40th edition, and was awarded an honorable mention.
It is a simple scene with a minor theme of a Soviet navy soldier. This is the first time we have seen a model of a Soviet navy soldier.
