What is a Joukei Bako
? A mini-diorama in the size of the palm of your hand, created using paper, string and miniature cars.
These dioramas are made from paper, string and miniature cars, and have a nostalgic, hand-painted feel to them.
The series is produced in a series of matching case sizes, making it a great addition to any collection or gift!

This work was inspired by the Targa Florio, a car race held in Sicily, Italy until 1977. The work is inspired by the "Targa Florio", a race held in Sicily, Italy until 1977.
It has been called many things, such as Collezano, Collezano, etc., but I call it Collezano Corner.
The building with the graffiti is two storeys high in the original photo, but three storeys high in the current photo.
The height does not appear to have changed...
(There is no graffiti on the building now.)
In the actual building there is no small window next to the first floor balcony and there is no street light.
However, when considering the building as a miniature, we thought that the light from the headlights would not be enough. The orange lampposts give the impression of an "ancient Italian city".
The red and yellow on the side of the car represents a straw barrier.

The charm of this work is the precision with which it is condensed into a tiny world of less than 10cm in size, and the nostalgic touch of the brush strokes that give it the feel of a hand-drawn illustration.
