What is BBD (Black Box Diorama)?
This is a new series by Kawada, which is a development of his "JOUKEIBAKO" series of extremely small diorama works.
The work is placed inside a black box and viewed through an opening in the box. By blocking out the light and limiting the direction from which the work can be viewed, the work creates the illusion of a scene emerging in a dark space, allowing the viewer to become even more immersed in the world of the artwork.

The pit signs and walls, the gas tanks, the pit crews, and the spectators in the grandstands are also awash in color.
projected those images of the time onto the work.

A lot of colors are placed inside the pit, on the road surface, and on accessories.
