The size and design of the shed makes it easy to place in a track maintenance area, in a station, or by the tracks.
Like the real thing, the walls are planked one by one, with light leaking in through the slightest gaps, and the interior with the roof open is very realistic. The rusted tin roof is beginning to show holes, and the blackened stains on the board walls, which look as if they have been smoked in, give the impression of the years this hut has spent.
Okakura's structure transcends realism to create a finish that appeals to the heart.
