Gentleman Asaki, pre-painted, 1/35 scale

Work size (including diorama base): W100 x D70 x H110mm
Award: 23rd Doll Modification Contest Bronze Prize

Information edit: Sakatsu Gallery

It was during the reign of Genghis Khan that the Mongol army grew in strength and fought the Kipchak-Luci confederacy on the banks of the Karka River in 1223.
The Mongols were outnumbered, but they defeated the allied forces with clever tactics.

The work was published in the same size and at the same time as "England's Lance Cavalry", and the two products successfully won the Bronze Prize in the 23rd Doll Modification Contest.
If "England's Spearman" is a "dynamic" work, this is a "static" work, isn't it?
The battlefield is quiet, with victory or defeat already won. The Mongol archer who shot the allied soldier seems to have come to retrieve his bow. The Mongolian archer, who has dismounted from his horse and stretched out his hand, looks... well, satisfied.
The same size of work, the same composition of two people and a horse. The same size, the same composition of two people and a horse, the same historical battle, the same weapon, the bow, and yet such different impressions and emotions.
This is a work of art that you can enjoy not only because of Asaki's skill, but also because of the cleverness of the story.
