Brings back memories of looking up from the trackside!
This is a model of an armillary signal system where the vertical movement of the deadweight rod is mediated by an escape crank, just like the real thing, and the rod can be switched between fixed and counter-position.
This model is of the cold climate type, with the dead weight rod mounted at the top to prevent snow accumulation, and the position of the inspection stand protruding to the side.

This is a full-scratch work from individual parts by the craftsmanship of Kobo NANA ROKUNI.
The body is made of soldered brass and is both delicate and strong enough to withstand movement.
The ladder is made from a single piece of 0.4 mm thick wood, with the treads cut out one by one to give it a crisp, undistorted appearance.
This is the first time we have made a model of this type.
This is the first time we have produced a model of a car with such a high level of detail.
With a separate power supply of 3 to 12 VDC, the signal is illuminated by a bulbous LED and a lens on the armrest.

Note: The model is strong enough to be used as a model, but should be handled with care as it is only a model.
