Regular type with a blend of large and small sands.
Sand selected by Yoji Momiyama, owner of HERMIT INN, for base decorating. Just by spreading it around, you can express the natural rolling of stones on the ground. Packaged in a 100ml Tupperware container.

Sand sold in Japan for model trains and miniatures is very fine and uniform. Yoji Momiyama, the owner of HERMIT INN, has his own thoughts on this matter, and so he uses stones and sand collected from gravel dealers all over Japan, which I select and mix to prepare his original sanding materials.

There are two types of textured sand: normal, which is a mixture of large and small sand and crushed stone, and fine, which is a mixture of only sand 1 mm or smaller. You can also use a mixture of both.

Whether normal or fine, the production of sand is a labor-intensive process. Once the sand is sorted, it is disinfected and quenched by placing it over high heat in a special iron pot to thoroughly remove the moisture. The sand is then removed from the heat, cooled, mixed, packed, and the exterior is cleaned before being stocked.
