What is BBD (Black Box Diorama)?
BBD is Kawada's new series, which is a development of his "JOUKEIBAKO" series of extremely small diorama works.
The work is placed inside a black box, and the viewer looks through the opening of the box. By blocking out the light and limiting the direction from which the work can be viewed, the work appears to float in the dark space, allowing the viewer to become even more immersed in the world of the artwork.

White World" (Video Production: Sakatsu Gallery)

Monte Carlo Rally , the work is inspired by the night of the Chulini Pass.
The silvery white night stage, a grueling public road race through a whiteout with the worst visibility. It was called the "Night of the Long Knife" because of the way the light from the headlights of the cars cutting through the darkness on the winding pass of the Chulini Pass.
This work represents a downhill corner.

I don't think there are actually corners as sharp and narrow as this one, but I used this expression to convey the power of the corner.
is my first snow expression, not powder snow, but sticky snow and muddy road surface.
Monte Carlo Rally features many of my favorite cars.
I would like to express myself again with different vehicles and stages if the opportunity arises.
