The locomotive of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (India) has been accurately reproduced as a model of the 1892 British Sharp Stuart B Class. We imagined the scene as it quietly decayed in the garage of the Tyndallia Works.

Almost 90% of the locomotive is cut from wood, and the curved parts are made from 2mm thick thin sheets cut into thin strips and pasted onto a round frame, before being sanded to form a curved surface. The small parts of the driver's seat are made from copper wire and other materials.
The structure of the building is made of cinnabar veneer and square timber. Once the structure is complete, it is first sprayed with alternating canned spray german grey and NATO brown to create a dark tone, followed by a light sand or other light brown spray to create a three-dimensional effect.
Further details are accentuated by dry brushing. The tin walls are painted on cardboard.
The rest of the work is done with Antique Master, various rust paints, pastels and coloured pencils to give a dusty look after the metal has rusted, and a final coat of matte clear.
