The work of Yoshiaki Ishikawa, popular for his dioramas of kawaii trains running through fantastic worlds.
This work boldly deforms and compresses the real Kanda River bridge area in Ochanomizu - Akihabara!
In the cherry blossom viewing season, the cherry blossoms floating on the surface of the river, the bustle of the surrounding area, and the intertwining Sobu, Chuo, and Marunouchi lines all interweave to create a city of a bygone era.
When the buildings and streets are lit up, the lively streets become even more nostalgic.
The acrylic clear case makes the lamp almost B4 in size and it is battery powered, so it can be displayed anywhere.
This is a great way to remind yourself of the vitality of those days.
