This is the artist's most powerful work in pursuit of the Showa era.
The setting is a fictional spa town, a hot spring town that you have never been to, but that you feel nostalgic for.
A stone staircase leads down to an open-air bath filled with milky white water.
This is a great place to relax and unwind.
On the stone bridge, a bonnet bus, which you don't see much anymore, runs slowly by.
Under the bridge, the grandfather and grandson are idyllic as they thread their way down the beautiful river.
This is a diorama of a tabletop resort where you can forget about everyday life and go to a place like this once in a while.
The 30cm square space has been fully built up to create a three-dimensional composition that can be enjoyed from any angle.
