Born in 1962 in Nara Prefecture. He grew up interested in manufacturing under the influence of his father, who ran a cedar-folding manufacturing and wholesale business. After graduating from college, he began making models as a hobby while working as an employee trainer at a retail chain store. He started out making dioramas using plastic models, which won top prizes in model contests around the country, and then switched to making dollhouses using wood, which he had been familiar with since his childhood. Currently, he teaches dollhouses mainly in the Kanto and Kansai regions, and exhibits and sells his works at major department stores.
