This is a brass model of the water supply port that was used by the Japanese National Railways in the heyday of steam locomotives. (Some phosphor bronze wire is used.)

The water supply port is an indispensable part of any major station or locomotive yard.
This model overcomes various problems such as shortened water supply time and damage caused by water hammer, and is a type that has spread throughout the country.

This model has been redesigned with additional detailing from the previous model and is a faithful representation of what it looked like in the past.
The linkage mechanism, pulleys, hinges and even the anchor bolts fastened to the base are all reproduced.
The funnel has a fixed angle of inclination, but the post rotates, and the water lever and arm for opening and closing the water valve, and even the rod along the post, can be moved up and down.

It is a breathtaking piece of work, as exquisite as the vehicle itself.
We invite you to discover the quality at your fingertips.

Note: The anchor bolts actually go through the base of the unit and are not removable.
