Brings back memories of looking up from the trackside!
This is a model of a Japanese National Railways type armature signal system that is actually movable.
The up and down movement of the dead weight rod is mediated by an escape crank, and the switching between fixed and counter positions by the rod is achieved by the craftsmanship of Kobo NANA ROKUNI!
This work reproduces the "Distant Signal", which announces the signal manifestation of the field signal, in a tall figure that mimics the actual signal.
This is not an assembly of ready-made parts, but a full-scratch work from individual parts.
The body is made of soldered brass, delicate and strong enough to withstand movement. The ladder is made from a single 0.4 mm thick board. The ladder is made from a single piece of 0.4 mm thick wood, with each step cut out to give it a crisp, undistorted appearance.
This is the first time we have made a model of a train.
This is the first time we have made a model of a car that has been designed and built to the highest standards.
With a separate power supply from 3 to 12 V DC, the signal is lit by a bulbous LED and a lens on the armrest.
Please note that this model is only a model and should be handled with care.
