Information edited by Sakatsu Gallery

The shop on which it was modelled went out of business more than 40 years ago and there is no trace of it now.
The shop is very similar to the "Yorozuya" in the M's collection, and we thought about making a model of it, but there is little actual documentation other than memory, so we kept it warm for many years.
I have miraculously seen a photo of the time and have decided to model it.

This is the first time we have made a model of a car from scratch.

The shop is divided into a tobacco shop and a dining room with a rough goods shop in between, and is run by an elderly couple.
The white-coloured ground, inspired by summer, is made of a material that can be easily coloured in order to integrate it into the existing layout.
The shaved ice flag, chilled Chinese noodles sign and fireworks sign are complementary.
Inside the tobacco shop, a small tatami mat room has been recreated. The cafeteria has the traditional red and green pipe chairs and tables, as well as an ice cream case.
A boy is running in to buy an ice cream right now.

At the back of the house there is a washing line and a water tap next to a gas cylinder. The water basin is filled with water and a watermelon is being chilled.
