Ltd. driving scene at "Kura" in Yoridoko Onoji Inn, Machida (Video production by EdoTyouninZ)\r\nEdoTyouninZ)

This is the fourth in the "Tani(valley)" series at. The previous "Ichi-no-tani," "Ni-no-tani," and "San-no-tani" were all set in hot spring villages along valleys in the mountains in the early Showa period, but this time we changed the setting.

A huge factory that suddenly exists in a beautiful valley deep in the mountains covered with forests, such an unusual sight exists in Okutama, Tokyo. It is the plant of Okutama Industries, which mines limestone and manufactures cement, and is well known among maniacs. I wanted to model this unique and somehow fascinating sight. The actual Okutama Kogyo factory is quite huge and cannot be modeled as it is, so I created this model to compactly express the interesting contrast between the man-made, rugged structure and nature.

The brick joints of the brick bridge were expressed by laser engraving on the cardboard that is normally used by Sekaido, a different method from the completely manual work that had been done in the past. The engraved surface was hardened with glue or paint, and the bricks were finished neatly and beautifully without peeling off, making this new attempt a success. The laser cutter was also used for the detailed expression of the steel trusses.
