In the early Showa period, when streetlights were still scarce, rumors spread that a raccoon dog would appear in Koshinzuka.
The people were talking to each other, trying not to be scared.
There is another Koshinzuka here, and a tavern named "Tanuki" of all places!
There is a raccoon dog ornament in the storefront
What a real raccoon dog with a leaf on his head chanting some kind of incantation.

customers don't know what they're doing and they're stirring up the sake cups.
come to think of it, I think there was a Koshinzuka near Sugamo where Sakatsu is located.
Maybe one or two of the clerks...

This work is one of Taro's series of "90mm cube miniatures series" that fit into a dice-shaped case of 9cm per side. The case eliminates the worry of dust and damage, and the sense of unity when the pieces are lined up makes collecting them a pleasure.
