Y-WING FIGHTER Y-Wing: Gentaro Asaki painted 1:72
Gentleman Asaki, pre-painted, 1/72 scale
Work size (including diorama base): W130 x D210 x H50mm
Information edit: Sakatsu Gallery
This diorama features the Y-Wing, a fighter jet that appeared in the first Star Wars movie, Episode 4: A New Hope.
The X-Wing is one of a number of rebel (allied) fighters in a desperate attack to destroy the Death Star, the enemy's giant space fortress, and although it is inferior to the X-Wing flown by Luke, it is still a popular choice.
The rebel soldiers and the droids (robots) waiting to be boarded can be seen next to the fighter, and the tension seems to be building for the battle that is about to begin.
The model has been modified from the base kit to increase the detail of the pipes and the canopy (cockpit window door) has been modified to open.
The droid was cut off from its appeared state and only the head is reused, the body is made by myself from plastic material.
The figure saves space, about the size of two postcards, so you can enjoy it wherever you want to display it.
