The Suwa Taisha Shrine is one of the oldest shrines in Japan and one of the most historic shrines in Japan, with over 10,000 branch shrines and the rank of Shoichi.

Among the four shrines of this Suwa Taisha, the elegant Kaguraden (Shinto music and dance hall), the elaborate Komainu (guardian dogs), and the beautifully carved and solemn atmosphere of the worship hall are the main features of the "Suwa Taisha Shimosha Akinomiya".
