Streetwise Chinese noodle shop : Nobuko Kameda, Non-scale Dollhouse art work
Nobuko Kameda Painted non-scale (approx. 1:20)
Size: 31 cm (width), 41 cm (depth), 25 cm (height)
About the electric decoration: Small light bulb (not LED). Power source: 1 x 100V outlet used.
Note: Roof is removable.
Note: Due to handmade work, details may vary.
Information editing: Sakatsu Gallery
This miniature work is based on the motif of a ramen shop with yellow tin walls and a red sign that grabs the stomachs of drivers while they are driving.
This work is inspired by an actual store, but has been greatly rearranged to make it look like a miniature.
The unassuming appearance of the restaurant, which is devoted entirely to serving delicious ramen, has the appearance of a "famous restaurant," and this alone is enough to whet the appetite! (LOL)
When you pass through the noren (curtain) or lantern, you will see a good old ramen shop, just as you would expect. A simple L-shaped counter with red round chairs. You can almost hear the sound of everyone huddled together sipping their noodles.
The only surprising thing about is that the soup is soy sauce-based. Nagahama ramen is generally a cloudy pork bone broth, but here the expression is in keeping with the actual restaurant's shoyu base.
Kameda's works are popular for their unique scale and deformation while using dollhouse techniques.
This is a rare and unique opportunity for Kameda to sell such a large piece!
