The material is a molded plastic made from styrene resin, which is commonly used in plastic models and similar products.
Made from a proprietary styrene resin, it is resistant to cracking even when thin and can be bonded using plastic model adhesives (styrene-based solvents).
It can also be cut with scissors, so it's easy to work with.
Although the surface design is intended for N scale (1/150), it incorporates various stylized elements, making it suitable not only for 1/144 scale-which is nearly the same-but also for a wide range of scales, including 1/72 and HO scale.
