Chinese Restaurant : Nobuko Kameda, Non-scale Dollhouse art work
Nobuko Kameda Painted non-scale (approx. 1:24)
Size: 53 cm (width), 38 cm (depth), 25 cm (height)
Note:Roof cut model, transparent panel is removable
Note:As this is a handmade work, details may vary.
Information editing: Sakatsu Gallery
This miniature work is based on the motif of a Chinese restaurant that you would like to visit with your family on anniversaries and special occasions.
This work is inspired by an actual store, but has been greatly rearranged to make it look like a miniature.
First, on the exterior, the large sign and the bamboo outside decoration of the store are eye-catching. The interior can be seen through the windows, but this piece has the roof cut off and a transparent board attached, so you can look in from above and enjoy the view of the interior of the restaurant.
The tables in the restaurant are crammed with dishes such as sweet-and-sour pork, shaomai, xiaolongbao... and just looking at them makes me hungry!
There were bouquets and gifts at the distinctive octagonal table seating, so you can imagine that today is a fun and important day.
Kameda's works are popular for their unique scale and deformation while using dollhouse techniques.
This is a rare and unique opportunity for Kameda to sell such a large piece!
