It is set in a fictional hot spring resort where a hot spring was discovered during the Edo period (1603-1868). What began as just a small hot spring inn gradually grew over time into a large public bathhouse and several ryokan (inns).\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nAs soon as you get off at a tram stop, you'll find souvenir shops and restaurants right there, and if you cross the bridge to the other side of the river, you'll see several inns clinging to the steep mountainside.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nAll elements-including buildings, steel bridges, wooden bridges, and tunnel entrances (brickwork)-are built from scratch based on original designs.
