In this book, Chieko Fukatsu, who also teaches at a culture school, explains the basics of miniature making, including making a prototype, moulding with silicone, blending clay and colouring.
It also generously introduces the author's own super-techniques for recreating the real thing: how to brown, how to squeeze and how to wrap.
The book also includes full-size large sheets of paper for gift boxes and candy houses that can be made from colour copies.
