For goblins, long-barreled weapons are convenient in many ways. They can attack where the enemy's weapons cannot reach, and they can go toe-to-toe with taller enemies. Long-barreled weapons are even better for use in tight spaces without swinging them around. The reason why older people prefer to use long-handled weapons is not because they are valuable. It is because it takes a certain amount of strength to wield them, and it is essential to be in a position not to be swiped by other people.
The halberd, a combination of a axe and spear, and the mancatcher (known among goblins as a "neck-pong stick"), which plunges into the enemy's neck and snaps off the head, bone by bone. Both of these are long-handled weapons in deathgroove. Since long-handled weapons are difficult to use against extremely close opponents, the one with the halberd has a dagger on his left hip, while the one with the neck stick has a club with spikes twisted into his waist belt.
The halberd holder has scale armor and shoulder pads, and the neck pommel bar holder has chainmail and shin pads, which is quite a good defense, but this is because he cannot use his shield at the same time. Both are wearing raven hats. Note that they are carrying some kind of medicine or liquor to increase their strength. How effective this drink is is a mystery, but it seems certain only to increase their spirits! The bottle held by the one with the neck pong stick also has a relief molding of a mushroom seal.
Both of the miniatures are single shot, no splits, I'll put a 25mm base on them.
